Greater Worcester Community Foundation is dedicated to making a philanthropic impact on Worcester County. We work with available data, and in close partnership with nonprofit and communal leaders, to develop our grant-making priorities.
Leadership Development
Greater Worcester Community Foundation strives to support the social service sector leadership pipeline. Through workshops, learning cohorts and convenings, we seek to develop and strengthen local leaders who work to further nonprofit organizations.
Promoting Philanthropy
Greater Worcester Community Foundation enables those with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about. We promote philanthropy that is visionary, diverse and inclusive.
Renaissance Award
The Renaissance Award is the Foundation’s signature prize, awarded annually to an outstanding individual for exemplary leadership in the nonprofit community. The Award was established in 2004 through an endowment created by a founding member of our foundation and a visionary donor -- John W. (“Jack”) Lund, who passed away in 2010 at age 90.
