On September 18, we marked a major milestone: 50 years since the Foundation was founded by a few passionate community members with a bold vision for Worcester County. Since 1975, our assets have grown to $250 million and we have distributed $185 million back to the community, making the community foundation a powerful force for philanthropy and positive change in the region. This would not be possible without hundreds of generous individuals like you.

A Year of Challenge. A Year of Response.
This past year has brought significant challenges for nonprofits across Worcester County. Changing federal policies and funding priorities have required nonprofits to quickly adapt, and — thanks to our Community Leadership Fund — we were able to quickly respond.
Doubling Down
We doubled the resources available through our Nonprofit Effectiveness Grants and our Mergers and Shared Services Fund so nonprofits can access funding for capacity needs that were unforeseen or caused by the federal landscape.
12 New Affordable Housing Units Across Worcester County
We fully deployed the $1 million line of credit to Worcester Community Housing Resources, which we awarded through our Community Leadership Fund last year, supporting the creation of 12 long-term affordable housing units in Worcester and Hardwick.
