The Becker Global Public Service Award will provide a monetary award to support a humanitarian project developed and led by a rising college or university senior.

About the Becker Global Public Service Award

Becker College built a strong legacy of global citizenship. Following the college’s closure, that legacy continues through a historic $13 million endowment transferred to Greater Worcester Community Foundation - $2 million of which is earmarked for this Award, for students committed to creating positive change around the world.

The Becker Global Public Service Award provides up to $70,000 to support a graduating college student in leading a one-year humanitarian project anywhere in the world. Projects should focus on addressing pressing social challenges and advancing global human welfare through innovative, student-driven solutions.

Each year, colleges and universities in Worcester County may nominate one graduating student for consideration. Greater Worcester Community Foundation, together with a volunteer selection committee, will oversee the application review and award selection process.
