Since our founding, GWCF has sought to make Worcester County a better place to live, work, & thrive. One way we have done this is by maximizing granting opportunities to support projects and organizations that strengthen and enliven our community.

Advancing on the Road to Better Health
A 2021 Foundation grant helped fund development of the 2021-2026 Worcester Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), a process that included a massive root-cause analysis of health inequities. Another funded the Coalition’s Trauma, Resiliency and Racial Equity Training Institute. More than 200 front-line professionals took the four-week, 10-hour program. “Our Institute casts a wide net,” says Casey. “Participants influence the quality of care for thousands of people.”
