The Foundation is now accepting applications for its Worcester County Food Bank Fund to End Hunger. The fund is seeking proposals for projects that offer innovative and sustainable solutions to address hunger through advocacy and programs that incorporate practices that have shown promise throughout the country or here in Worcester County. Specifically, the fund supports projects that:
- Improve access to quality, healthy food through nutrition programs, farmers' markets,
and other community food and nutrition resources. - Promote economic self sufficiency and create jobs.
- Provide educational and job readiness initiatives that support individual or household
self-sufficiency. - Create Skill development programs such as nutrition-based cooking and budgeting that
support individuals and households in maximizing their financial resources.
The Fund to End Hunger welcomes applications from the Hunger-Free Network of the Worcester County Food Bank and other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations with programs in Worcester County. Applicants are encouraged to review the full guidelines available online before submitting their proposal.

Established in 2011, the Fund to End Hunger is intended to support hunger-relief organizations that provide direct service as well as anti-hunger advocacy organizations.
