For the 41st consecutive year the Greater Worcester Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications, the Foundation announced today. High school seniors who live in Worcester County and seek college tuition assistance for the 2020 - 2021 academic year are encouraged to apply for any of the Foundation's 138 scholarships for which they are eligible. The application deadline is Monday, March 2, 2020.

“The Foundation's annual scholarship program is a great example of how we create opportunity and support the future leaders of our community,” said Barbara Fields, CEO of the GWCF. “We are thrilled to be able to provide this kind of support to so many deserving students.”

Students can apply online by visiting www.greaterworcester.org/scholarships/APPLY-HERE. Submitting a single application allows a student to be considered for any of the scholarships which range in size from $300 to $5,000. Awards are made to students based on a wide variety of criteria including financial need, area of study, community involvement, high school, and hometown. This is the only time this year that the Foundation will be accepting scholarship applications.

Since 1978, the Foundation has distributed $11.9 million dollars in scholarships to support the academic goals of Worcester County students.
