The Foundation is now accepting applications for its Leicester Savings Bank Fund. The fund, in its twenty first year of grantmaking, is seeking proposals for projects that improve community and quality of life for all in Leicester. Specifically, the fund is interested in projects that empathetically serve vulnerable members of the community, improve access to community resources, or support education, recreation and arts.

The Leicester Savings Bank Fund, created in 1997 with a $1 million gift from Leicester Savings Bank during its acquisition, honors the Bank's longstanding commitment to the community. Since its establishment at the Foundation, it has granted over $872,000 to have projects that have been and continue to enhance the vibrancy of the Leicester community.

Any non-municipal association or nonprofit organization serving Leicester is encouraged to apply to the Leicester Savings Bank Fund. Grants are not generally awarded from this fund to individuals or municipal agencies.

Applications must be received by April 12, 2019. For more information, contact Sarah Shugrue, sshugrue@greaterworcester.org or (508) 755-0980 x109.
