The Foundation is now accepting applications for its Leicester Savings Bank Fund. The fund is seeking proposals for projects that work to build a stronger community and improve the quality of life for all in Leicester. Specifically, the fund supports projects that:
- Make a positive difference for vulnerable citizens in the Leicester community.
- Improve the community of life in Leicester through community development, education, recreation, human services, or the arts.
- Attracts other resources or secure matching funds from public or private sources.
Any non-municipal association or nonprofit organization serving Leicester is encouraged to apply. Grants are not generally awarded from this Fund to individuals or municipal agencies.

Established in 1997 with an endowment gift of $1 million to Greater Worcester Community Foundation, the Leicester Savings Bank Fund was created as a result of the merger between Country Bank for Savings in Ware with the Leicester Savings Bank. The Leicester Savings Bank Fund is a permanent charitable resource to benefit residents of Leicester, Massachusetts.
