The Fund supports projects that improve the quality of life and building a stronger community in Leicester. The purpose of the Leicester Savings Bank Fund is to provide financial support for projects which help to make life better for Leicester residents of every age.

To receive funding, applicants must state how they will use the grant to do the following:

• Make a positive difference for the Leicester community's vulnerable citizens.
• Improve Leicester community life through community development, education, recreation, the arts, or human services.
• Attract other resources or secure matching funds from public or private sources.

An Advisory Committee of former trustees of Leicester Savings Bank has been appointed to determine how grants will be awarded. Any non-municipal association or nonprofit organization that serves residents of Leicester is invited to apply. Grants are available for capital expenditures (to acquire or renovate property or equipment) or for operating expenses of specific programs or projects undertaken by associations or organizations.
