The Foundation announced the awarding of $8,500 through the Jeppson Memorial Fund for Brookfield. Those organizations receiving funding will help improve the lives of residents through civic and community projects.

The following organizations received grants from the Jeppson Memorial Fund for Brookfield:

  • A.P.P.L.E. Seed, Inc.
  • The Brookfield Institute
  • Cub Scout Pack 159
  • Merrick Public Library
  • New Hope Inc.

“This year we're excited to award grants to first time recipients Brookfield Institute and Club Scout Pack 159,” said Sarah Shugrue, GWCF Program Officer. “Both organizations will help foster cultural enrichment to Brookfield residents with placing signage along the Quabog Pathway and developing a veteran's storytelling project."

The grants will provide opportunities for educational enrichment, youth involvement in recreation, and projects that foster community awareness and connections among different group.
